Just in time for Father’s Day!

Here’s a quick and easy recipe for a BBQ sauce that’s made with our Copper Harbor Ale. Now it’s just up to Dad to put it to the test while he’s in his natural element and holding down the grill. For this recipe you’ll need a large mixing bowl and a whisk!

In the large mixing bowl, combine the following wet ingredients and whisk them together thoroughly.

Wet Ingredients

  • 4 cups Ketchup
  • 1/2 cup Honey
  • One 12 ounce can Copper Harbor Ale
  • 3 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire

Once you have mixed the wet ingredients together well enough, add in the following dry ingredients and whisk them together.

Dry Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Onion Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoning Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin (Fresh Cumin makes a big difference)
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

After mixing together the wet and dry ingredients together, place your sauce in an air tight container and keep refrigerated. If you don’t have a jar or container, consider re-purposing an old sauce or condiment bottle to help reduce your environmental footprint! If you are able, allow this sauce to sit overnight so that the flavors and seasoning can all blend together.
